Database of the recorded calls can constitute a separate base of recordings or the recorded calls can be sent to the database of the already used PC Corsac SQL system. It should be specified in the system Setup.
Does the new player of the PC Corsac system enable faster playing of recordings?

How database of recordings can store the recorded calls ?
Starting with the 2.4.x.xxxx version of the program it is possible to choose the storage of recordings in the files. In such a case the database includes only the records describing the recordings (data of creation, hour, time of recording …). Such a solution results in the fact that the database itself does not expand excessively as it is not burdened with the contents of recordings.
How is the correct operation of the calls recorder controlled?
One of the manners of controlling the recorder’s operation is the implementation of additional Monitor module which checks the state of system hardware and software on a regular basis and informs the user on the failure or threats. The parameters covered with the control and the manner of alerting (e.g. by e-mail, or a message on a different station in the network) is defined by the user at the stage of project. The monitor works in the WMI standard.

What is the default IP address of the device?
The standard IP address of the modIP is 192.168.1.100. As the use of DHCP is switched on by default, then it depends on the DHCP server which address will be allocated to the device.
The program [modIP Setup] does not detect the modIP in the network.
First, it should be made sure that the device is powered and connected to the network. The red LED [Power] signals the correct power connection, the green LED [Net] signals the connection to the network. The green LED [Act] goes on in the course of transmitting packages. The red LED [Error] blinks when modIP does not have an allocated IP address.
Then, it has to be set whether between the modIP and the computer with the running modIP Setup there are any routers (bridges, firewalls, etc.). The Setup program detects exclusively the devices in the local segment of network. It results from the fact that the routers do not transmit so-called broadcast packages. In such a case a telnet console should be used to set up the device.
What are the default parameters of a serial port?
The initial parameters of a serial port are as follows: Speed 9600 bits per second, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no even parity and no flow control.
Is it necessary to set up the serial port of a modIP in the case of work in the “Virtual Serial Port” mode?
The application using a serial port sets the parameters of the port, therefore the parameters set with the program [modIP Setup] will be changed by the user application anyway.
The program supervising the telephone switchboard via modIP to which the data buffer is connected cannot detect the device..
The problem is solved by setting in the modIP the interval between characters for 5 ms.
After the change of the device Setup, the program [modIP Setup] shows the lightning symbol. What is the meaning of this symbol?
After the change of some device parameters, its initialization is necessary. That means that modIP does not use a new parameter until the user initializes the device. The lightning symbol means exactly the need to start the device initializing. The button [Initialization] is used for that purpose.
