PC Corsac® systems were developed by our company as state-of-the-art hardware and software solutions allowing for digital recording of telephone or radio-telephone calls. These calls can be carried out on analogue, radio or specialised digital lines. Telephone calls are recorded in real time, concurrently in many voice channels. The recorded calls are stored on a computer's disk (or other external memory) in a dedicated database. Dedicated software makes it possible to manage this database, to search, segregate, archive and play back the recordings, to control the users' rights and to protect them against unauthorised access, or to monitor database resources in a local or remote mode.
PC Corsac® recorders are one of the most modern type of solutions in their class. In the specialized line interface cards programmable circuits of CPLD-Xlinx type have been utilised, while the software uses state-of-the-art mechanisms of NT platform services, efficient speech recording compressors - DSP Group TrueSpeach(TM), GSM 6.10, MPEG Layer-3 - as well as network access mechanisms to the devices and their individual set up features. Additionally, the technology for the storage of recordings has been developed. PC Corsac® systems use either file data bases or professional databases operating in the client- server architecture to store recordings. These databases may include Microsoft SQL Server, Interbase, Firebird or MySQL to name a few.
In the course of recording calls several items of information appear in the computer's database, such as, the time of commencing each call, each call's duration, telephone numbers of the calling and called subscribers (provided they are not withdrawn by the network operator), users' comments, state of recording devices and, in the case of digital lines, selected channel D signalling. Sound files with the phone calls content are always saved in records in the database. PC Corsac® software allows the user to browse the databases, including the recorded information, to hear or export the sound recordings, to print reports and statistical specifications, to archive and select channels or recording devices. The software allows also to select relevant recordings according to any criteria defined in the base and to record them on any external medium (e.g. CD or Flash) or to send them by means of a LAN or WAN network.
The actual location of the database depends on the user's choice. It can be the same computer on which specialised line interface cards are installed, or any other computer in the LAN network.
Thanks to its modular structure, PC Corsac® can be used both to record calls from a limited number of telephone lines and to record calls made by users in large organisations equipped with advanced switch-boards of different types.
The scale of system can change in the course of using it without the change of all its core functions.
